Proof

Yep! I actually worked out! Burn circuit 1

Traveling the next few days, but that won't stop me from working out.

How Many Times Can A Person Recommit?

I feel like it's all I do these days.

Recommit, fall off the wagon, recommit, fall off the wagon.

I'm trying, but I keep getting in my own way.

The good thing is that James has been really committed to his workouts with T25. He's getting toned, losing bodyfat, and really focusing on eating well. I'm very proud of him! (If you'd like to hear his words, comment! I keep telling him he should have spotlights on here)

Tonight, after work, and a hair touchup, I'm working out. I've been good at my eating today, too. I didn't stop at the grocery store to pickup and devour 3 bags of candy, even though I am having an emotionally volatile day. I count that as a win.

And I haven't given up. If I gave up, I wouldn't be recommitting. I wouldn't be getting back in the saddle.

Hold me to my workout this evening! If I don't post that sweaty face and heartrate monitor, bug me, because it's ChaLEAN Extreme Burn Circuit 1 for me. No better way to feel empowered than to pump some iron, right?

Anyways, there is a new program coming out on Monday through my beachbody page that is really interesting to me. I'm not sure if I want to change up my routine when I've just changed up my routine, but my interest is definitely piqued in the 21 Day Fix program. It focuses on portion control (something I have been lacking) and 30 minutes of workouts per day. It's very tempting, especially with my wedding dress fitting in March, I could do this program twice and then maintain after that fitting. I will have to sleep on it, but don't be surprised if I end up posting about this program very soon.

Here's a link to the program: 21 Day Fix
And Starting Monday, February 3rd, it will be available for purchase through my beachbody website.

Also, I know that I've had a few friends interested in Shakeology, so I thought that it was high time I revisited some resource info for it. Both James and I make shakes almost every day. I prefer the chocolate with almond milk and cayenne pepper (I'm uber-specific about how much ice and liquid I put in, James totally makes fun of me), and James usually adds peanut butter and uses coffee as a base with chocolate.

I have some extra packets of vanilla Shakeology laying around, and if you'd like to try it out before committing to a month supply of shake mix, email me at katieworksout@beachbodycoach.com and I'll send you two servings as supplies last. If you have been wanting to give it a go, you can order here: Katie's Shakeology page.

Tonight, I'll post on my workout!

HIIT 15

I'm resetting my workout schedule due to lack of commitment. You see, I was great for 2 weeks. Then I just fell off completely. I have worked out on Monday nights, but not any other night.

So I'm resetting to finish the burn circuit 1.

Tonight, I started the rampup by doing HIIT 15. Intense, short. And I rocked it.

Now time for ladies night.

Yes, I Have Been Working Out

Normally, when I fail to blog daily, it's because I'm slacking. Well, I'm not!

I've been following ChaLEAN Extreme to the T! Okay, not quite. There were a couple days that I cut my workout short. However, I've been ownin my strength workouts!

And a detail of my weights:
I've been increasing the weights from last week, and I've done a really good job of keeping with it!

My tricep push-ups are not quite there, but I actually did a full one! On my knees, but I lowered & lifted myself without falling or losing control. So I'm counting it as a win.

Happy weekend!

Yes, I Made a Good Decision

Switching over to ChaLEAN Extreme again was absolutely the right decision for me.

How do I know this?

Every muscle I work is sore, but not too sore.

It's been less than a week, and I fit into pants that I haven't been able to button in months. And I weigh 4 pounds more than I did a week ago. Yes, I have shot up in weight in the past 5 days and I fit into smaller clothes.

What does all of this add up to? I have gained a ton of muscle (and my body is retaining water because of it), and have lost fat. In 5 days. 5.

Going back to a workout plan that I haven't done in 6 months is refreshing. It also tells me how much I've improved my fitness. I'm lifting more than I used to on my deltoids and triceps. I can do more pushups. I even did a tricep pushup without falling to the ground! I can do the Burn Intervals without giving up from fatigue. I can do the workouts better than I did when I switched to TurboFire. Which means that I've been increasing my fitness, even when I feel like I've lost all of my fitness.

Tonight is Burn Circuit 3, which is mostly Shoulders. Plus, it's also girls night! I'm getting back into my old routines and I can't wait!

Switching Gears. New Year, New Program.

I only got about halfway through the TurboFire program and I hit a motivational wall.

I love the workouts, but I was just not doing them, and I was missing weeks of workouts.

I started this blog last year. A year ago, two weeks from now. I have made headway, I'm much stronger now than I was when I started this. I can fit into clothes that made me feel like a sausage in casing last year.

And I was flagging in motivation this past month.

I'm going to keep doing at least one TurboFire routine each week, but I'm switching back to ChaLEAN Extreme. The 17 week program leads right up to the wedding, and it's guaranteed to get my back, shoulders, and arms into fighting order.

I miss my weights. They make me feel powerful, and it's something that I can measure my progress by. It's not just getting through the workout more easily, or being able to give more power into a kick, it's increasing the weight that I use, and doing more reps. Measured.

I actually was impressed that I will need to increase the weight I use for the posterior deltoids from 7.5 to 10 pounds!

So last night I did Burn Circuit 1. Today is my rest day, but I'm cutting my rest days down to 1 for this and doing a TurboFire workout on this rest day each week. It's between two weight workouts, so I can either do a HIIT or a Fire workout. Tonight, I may do a HIIT, like HIIT 25 to kick it up a notch.

This is what the workouts will look like, including the last month of cycling through the different phases.

I am committed to this. I'm excited. My goal is ZERO missed workouts. ZERO!

This literally brings me up to the Thursday before my wedding. I can't believe there are only 17 weeks left. That's crazy!

Tracking food intake through Fitbit, and motion and then committing to my workouts. I should be able to kick this last bit to the curb. I'm so much stronger than I was this time last year. I can do this!
